Base Camp is the perfect place for your next school or community group field trip! Our year-round program and facility is sure to provide a memorable and meaningful experience. From single-day to multi-day field trips, we have something to offer everyone with focus areas in team building, leadership, outdoor skills, and fitness.

Find Base Camp

Base Camp is conveniently located off of Highway 55 and Bloomington Road in Fort Snelling, Minnesota, 1/3 of a mile from the Fort Snelling Light Rail station. Our standard hours are Mon-Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Office Hours

While Base Camp is almost always active, we do have standard office hours for visitors.

Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Scout Shop hours vary.

Our newest field trip is designed for emerging high school leaders.

Outdoor Skills Field Trip

Our Outdoor Skills Field Trip takes teamwork and problem solving.

STEM Discovery Field Trip

This program is designed to introduce learners to basic STEM concepts including energy, forces, simple machines, and logic through a variety of activities that challenge the mind as well as the body.
